Somewhere along the way, I lost count of my weeks. I’ve never been very good with numbers. I guess I got a little ahead of myself, but as it turns out, these are the photos from the real week thirty. It was a good one.
July 22 – Sunday was a big photography day. I was experimenting with the light in our apartment, trying to figure out good spots and times of day to shoot so I can take advantage of the minimal amount of natural light we get. I loved this picture of a loaf of bread. The bread itself was really tasty, too.
July 23 – Sometimes leftovers make the best lunches. I made this eggplant and mozzarella panini for lunch on Monday. I was working from home, and the beginning of a wicked cold was making itself known.
July 24 – I was in full-on sick mode on Tuesday. I spent the day in bed, knitting, watching Gilmore Girls, and coughing. I had a previously scheduled Doctor’s appointment, which turned out to be good timing. And I had to spend an hour at the Kaiser pharmacy waiting for a prescription. Good thing I had a good book with me. (I’ve been reading this book all week and loving it.)
July 25 – An easy one-pan dinner on Wednesday night.
July 26 – I was struck with an overwhelming need to clean out my bag and get re-organized. There was a lot of crap in there. I’m not totally stoked with the work/laptop bag I’m using now. I am always on the look out for The Perfect Bag.
July 27 – On Friday night, Sean and I went to a cooking party/class/event at Kitchen on Fire in Berkeley. It was a really fun way to spend a Friday evening, even if it wasn’t the best meal we’ve ever had.
July 28 – On Saturday we went to a pool party at the house where a friend is housesitting. It is a beautiful house, and it was wonderful to spend a sunny day sitting by the pool, sipping white wine spritzers and snacking on delicious food.
